Activities in Year 2019

1. Symposia & Conferences

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following:

  • National Symposium on "Molecular Diagnostics and Therapeutics", organized at the College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kalyani, West Bengal, June 21-22, 2019. [Rs. 50,000]

2. Educational & Training Programs

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following Training Course:

  • IUIS-IIS-FIMSA Course on "Basic and Advanced Translational Immunology", RUHS, College of Medical Sciences, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, Rajasthan, October 12-15, 2019. [Rs. 2,00,000]

3. Other Contributions

  • Provided Rs. 1.5 lakh to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2019

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were sanctioned to 43 Applicants during January 2019–June 2019 period, out of which 39 Applicants who attended the Conferences/Meetings/Workshops, were awarded the bursaries. The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

1. Symposia & Conferences

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following:

  • ‘Immunocon 2018’, 45th Annual Conference of the Indian Immunology Society on “Immunotherapy and Advances in Immunology”, organized at THSTI, Faridabad during November 1-3, 2018. [Rs. 50,000]

2. Educational & Training Programs

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following CMEs/Workshops:

  • Lecture Workshop on “Ingenuity in Biological Sciences” organized on January 11-12, 2018 at the Gargi College (University of Delhi) New Delhi [Rs. 10,000]

  • National Seminar on ‘Mechanism of Immune Response’, organized at Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, August 10-11, 2018. [Rs. 25,000]

3. Other Contributions

  • Provided Rs. 97,500 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2018

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were sanctioned to 94 Applicants during January 2018–December 2018 period, out of which 85 Applicants who attended the Conferences/Meetings/Workshops, were awarded the bursaries. The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following:

  • ‘Immunocon 2017’, 44th Annual Conference of the Indian Immunology Society onImmune mechanisms of infectious Diseases and beyond” organized at the at the Institute of Science, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, during December 14-16, 2017 [Rs. 1,00,000]

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following CMEs:

  • CME-cum-National Seminar “Basics of Immunology and its Clinical Applications” organized at School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamraj University, Madurai from March 8-10, 2017 [Rs. 50,000]

  • CME cum National Seminar “Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy" organized on September 21-22, 2017 at the Department of Zoology, Saiva Bhanu Kshatriya College, Tamilnadu [Rs. 50,000]

3. Other Contributions

  • Provided Rs. 97,500 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2017

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were sanctioned to 93 Applicants during January 2017–December 2017 period, out of which 82 Applicants who attended the Conferences/Meetings/Workshops, were awarded the bursaries. The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

  • 13th FIMSA Advanced Immunology Course organized at PGIMER Chandigarh, on March 17-19, 2016 [Rs. 1,00,000]

  • National Conference on “Malaria Parasite Biology: Drug Designing and Vaccine Development” organized at Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on September 9-10, 2016. [Rs. 25,000]

2. Educational & Training Programs

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following CMEs:

  • CME-cum-Workshop on “Clinical Immunology: Past and Present” organized at Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Telangana, on January 20-21, 2016. [Rs. 25,000]

  • “CME-cum-Symposium on Current Understandings of Immunology” organized at Regional Medical Research Centre, NE Region, Dibrugarh on April 28-29, 2016. [Rs. 25,000]

3. Other Contributions

  • Provided Rs. 1,00,500 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2016.

  • Provided Rs. 5000 for the best Paper Award at the Symposium “Recent Advances in Biomedical Research: Strategies and Innovation", organized by Society of Young Scientists, at AIIMS, New Delhi on May 26-27, 2016.

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were sanctioned to 118 Applicants during January 2016–December 2016 period, out of which 86 Applicants who attended the Conferences/Meetings/Workshops, were awarded the bursaries. The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

Immunology Foundation provided support to International Congress on “Embryo Implantation and Pregnancy: Intricacies and Strategies for its success”, organized by National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, on March 9-11, 2015. [Rs. 2,00,000]

2. Educational & Training Programs

Immunology Foundation provided support to the following CMEs:

  • CME on “Current Advances in Immunology of Infectious Diseases”, organized by Department of Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics, Tripura University, Agartala, Tripura, on April 17-18, 2015. [Rs. 50,000]

  • CME-cum-Workshop on Clinical Immunology CME, organized by Department of Microbiology, AIIMS Bhopal, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on September 25-26, 2015. [Rs. 30,000]

  • CME-cum-Workshop on “Clinical Immunology” organized at Department of Microbiology, AIIMS Bhopal, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on September 25-26, 2015. [Rs. 30,000]

3. Other Contributions

  • Provided Rs. 90,840 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2015.

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

  1. Provided Rs. 50,000 to Department of Biochemistry, AIIMS, Raipur for holding CME Programme “Biochemical Insight into Clinical Immunology” on March 21-22, 2014.

  2. Provided Rs. 25,000 to Institute of Science, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat for organizing CME in Immunology on August 8-9, 2014.

  3. Provided Rs. 25,000 to Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Jodhpur, Rajasthan for organizing CME in Immunology “Infectious Diseases and Immunology: An Overview” on September 12-13, 2014.

  4. Provided Rs. 50,000 to College of Medicine and JNM Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kalyani, West Bengal for holding Research workshop on “Diagnostic and Therapeutic Immunology” on September 19-20, 2014.

2. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were sanctioned to 79 Applicants during January 2014 –December 2014 period. 62 Applicants, who attended the Conferences/Meetings/Workshops, were awarded the bursaries. The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

3. Other Contributions

Provided Rs. 85,583 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2014.

Activities in Year 2013

1. Symposia & Conferences

Immunology Foundation co-sponsored Ranbaxy Science Foundation’s 19th Annual Symposium on “Gains of Genomic Research in Biology and Medicine”, to be held at National Institute of Immunology on February 4, 2013. Amount contributed was Rs. 1,00,000/-

2. Educational & Training Programs

  1. Immunology Foundation provided Rs. 50,000 to Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences (ICMR) for holding CME Programme in Immunology on October 18-19, 2013.

  2. Immunology Foundation provided support to Indian Immunology Society CME and National Seminar on “Immune Interface of Host-Pathogen Interactions” organized at Department of Biochemistry, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on December 7-8, 2013. Rs. 50,000 was contributed for sponsoring best Poster and Oral research paper presentations, and organization of CME course.

3. Awards

Immunology Foundation gave Rs. 5,000/- for the GP Talwar Best Paper Award instituted by the Society of Young Scientists, AIIMS at National Symposium on "Interfacing Basic and Translational research” held on August 23, 2013 at AIIMS, New Delhi.

4. Other Contributions

Provided Rs. 77,475 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2013.

5. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

Travel bursaries were awarded to 77 applicants from January 2013 to December 2013.  The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

Activities in Year 2012

1. Symposia & Conferences

Provided Rs. 12,00,000 to 5th FIMSA Immunology Congress held during March 14-17, 2012 in New Delhi, with an understanding to receive this back out of savings of FIMSA.

2. Educational & Training Programs

Provided grant of Rs. 50,000 to conduct CME on “Immunology of Mycobacterial Diseases” at “39th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Immunology (Immunocon 2012)” held at Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi, November 9-11, 2012.

3. Awards

Immunology Foundation gave Rs. 5,000/- for Best Research Paper Award instituted by the Society of Young Scientists, AIIMS at National Symposium on "New Horizon in Basic and Clinical Research” held on April 16, 2012 at AIIMS, New Delhi.

4. Other Contributions

Provided Rs. 75,922 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2012.

5. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

November 2010 – December 2011

1. Symposia & Conferences
Provided seed grant of Rs. 50,000 to “37th Annual Congress of Immunology” to be held under the Aegis of Immunology Society,  in 2011 in Jammu.

2. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings
Travel bursaries were approved to 59 applicants from November 2010 to December 2011.  The details of these Meetings/Conferences/Symposia as received from the Participants, are available in their reports in section Bursaries and Grants.

3. Other Contributions
Provided Rs. 70,941 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2011.

January 2010-October 2010

1. Symposia & Conferences
Immunology Foundation provided seed grant of Rs. 1,00,000 to 5th FIMSA Immunology Congress to be held in 2012 in New Delhi

2. Educational & Training Programs
Immunology Foundation provided Rs. 30,000 for CME programme for the benefit of young scientists and postgraduate students during the National Conference on “Cellular and Molecular Immunology” organized in the Department of Biochemistry, Andhra University from 25-26 September, 2010

3. Awards
Immunology Foundation gave 20,000/- for Awards to Young Investigators for best Presentations at “International Conference on Opportunistic Pathogens”, organized by Dr. Sarman Singh at AIIMS, New Delhi from September 27-30, 2010.

Immunology Foundation gave Rs. 15,000/- for Awards (Awards of Rs. 5000 and Rs. 10,000/- for best presentations by young and senior scientists, respectively in National Conference on “Cellular and Molecular Immunology” organized in the Department of Biochemistry, Andhra University from 25-26 September, 2010

4. Other Contributions
Provided Rs. 63,250 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2009.
Provided Rs. 62,975 to Indian Immunology Society towards IUIS Membership Fee for the year 2010.

5. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings

April 2009 to December 2009

1. Symposia & Conferences
Co-sponsored with Ranbaxy Science Foundation a Symposium on “Emerging Frontiers in Immunogenomics of Infectious Diseases” held at NII New Delhi on November 04, 2009. Amount contributed Rs. 1,00,000/-.

2. Educational & Training Support
Immunology Foundation contributed Rs. 50,000/- to Indian Immunology Society for CME organized at NIMHANS, Bangalore (December 16-19, 2009).

3. Awards
Immunology Foundation gave Rs. 5,000/- for Best Research Paper Award instituted by Society of Young Scientists-AIIMS in National Symposium on "Translational Research in Health Sciences" held on November 24, 2009 at AIIMS, New Delhi.

4. Travel bursary for International Meetings/Conferences/Trainings
