One of the Aims and Objectives of the Foundation is to provide bursary to scientists actively engaged in research activities in the field of Immunology and allied sciences for visiting and working in reputed laboratories or attending National/International conferences/ symposia/workshops of importance.

Accordingly, our endeavour is to provide financial support to as many scientists as possible for the above purposes. With available funds, Foundation can provide only partial financial support to suitable and deserving scientists. The Foundation will apply the following criteria on first come first served basis for the selection of scientist(s) who approach the Foundation for the award of the bursary. 

  1. The Conference to be attended should be of good standard and recognized in the field of Immunology and Allied Sciences.

  2. The applicant should be an invited speaker or his/her paper should have been accepted for Oral or Poster presentation.

  3. That the Organizers should have provided partial support in terms of complimentary registration, scholarship or bourse to cover partially travel and stay or the Scientist may have obtained partial financial support from Government/Non-governmental Agencies.

  4. Where possible there should be gain to the applicant of visiting a laboratory or getting training in a methodology in addition to taking part in the Meeting.

  5. In order to avoid inbreeding, only one travel support may be given to the most deserving applicant from the same Department for a given Meeting.

  6. Preference will be given to the Members of Indian Immunology Society.

  7. The Applicant must have at least two research publications in recognized National or International Journals.

Application for bursary should be submitted in the format of “FORM A” along with a copy of Curriculum Vitae and all relevant documents. The FORM A can be downloaded / printed (PDF format) by clicking the tab below. The duly completed form along with necessary enclosures (applicants are discouraged to make the application bulky by enclosing reprints of publications and detailed Conference related matter) should be sent preferably 2 months but not less than a month in advance before the date of the event at the following address using preferably Speed Post or Courier Services:

The scientist after availing the bursary will be required to submit a brief account of the activity in which he/she has participated within 4 weeks after his/her return. The report should be submitted as per the format of “FORM-B”. If the experience acquired from Conference/Meeting/Training leads to any publication in future, he/she should duly acknowledge the financial support from the Foundation.
